The Client already had a Rako lighting system installed in his property but was interested in getting more out of his set up. He also had multiple TVs, but no way to reliably distribute his Sky, Apple TV and other digital sources to each room.
We created a solution by introducing a video matrix - housing all the client’s equipment in its original location, through a discreet cabling structure within the walls. By innovatively creating a reliable, intelligent circuit we provided a solution where the family was able to access all of their devices from each television screen in the house.
With most of us having somewhere between 3-6 remote controls for our AV equipment, and many needing a line of sight to operate these properly, the opportunity of a single, sleek device is appealing. Using Control4 allows you to combine all the remote functions into one easy to use controller - which doesn't even need to be pointed at the devices! Which means that unsightly sky boxes and the like can be hidden out of view. Technology isn’t just about functionality, it has to work aesthetically too.
The client also wanted an upgrade to his existing lighting, which we created with a two way communication system. This gave further functionality such as having the lights automatically switching on after you've finished watching a film, or operating the blinds on a light sensitive system – all with one single remote control.
Our state of the art on-screen display panel provides all the information about your property you need to know. The system is able to show you your security cameras, temperature of each room, which room is active, who’s watching TV in the house or what music is being played and where.
Our client is happy with his system and is actively engaged in working with us on further upgrades within his home, with a view to a fully integrated smart system.
